Battle of TV Series

Heroes, Prison Break, Criminal Minds, CSI Las Vegas and Desperate Housewives. These are few yet outstanding TV shows today. Believe me when I say once you started to watch these shows, you would be yearning for more.

If you have a fancy imagination that leaves you crazy over science and fictional shows, HEROES might be the best medication for you. Normal individuals that discover they are not so ordinary after all are the highlights of this series drama. Now they have to adapt to the changes their special abilities bring, work to protect the world from destruction and fight the evil villain- Sylar, that kills gifted individuals to acquire their powers. Each episode is breath taking so you can't miss a single of it.

If your craving for action dipped with suspense, Prison Break might be the one you're looking for. Aside from having an outrageously good and hot looking main cast, Wentworth Miller, the plot will surely captivate your interest. The story revolves around two brothers who were unlucky enough to get tangled to the president's matters. Lincoln Burrows (Dominic Purcell) is falsely accused of the murder of the president's brother and puts him in the death row. Michael Scofield does everything in his power to prevent his brother, Lincoln from being executed and leads him to commit robbery get him inside prison. Here Michael is able to execute his plans of escaping himself and his brother out of Fox River Penitentiary.

Forensics , criminals, murders, death - all are premises of the two highly acclaimed dramas, CSI and Criminal Minds. While CSI mainly focuses on the investigation of evidences accumulated, Criminal Minds rely on profiling the unsub or unknown subject to foresee the next act of crime and prevent it. These two shows will surely leave you hanging in your seats.

If you are up for good laugh, watch Desperate Housewives. Here you will see five women aiming for love, self completeness with tons of cat fights that lives in the same neighborhood, Wisteria Lane. Each has their own problems to deal with and skeletons in their closets. Wisteria Lane could also get mysterious, so you better witnessed each episode.

Who's Next to be Evicted?

I heard a lot of comments that this week Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition Plus' nomination was totally unfair in whatever aspect you look at it. This week, Rona and Robi are vying for the votes of Filipino viewers in order to stay in bahay of Kuya. Robi, the Atenista with a mature spirit and high intellect is head to head with Rona, the conservative among all girls that acts like the advice guru of the group.

My personal bet to be the Big Winner is Robi, so there is no question who I will be supporting for this week's eviction.

Both top the number of nominations from their fellow house mates during the most intense yet Monday nomination night. Alex even cried after the announcement of the nominees in spite of the fact he did not get a single vote. Viewers can really see how hard it is for all of them to have a face to face nomination. Good thing Kuya made a twist to the excruciating event. It was not completely a face to face nomination since everyone is blindfolded except for the one who is going to nominate. Each one of the house mates has two medals, one is a 1 point medal while the other is for 2 point medal. If you are voted off, you can simply feel house mates placing a medal in your neck unknowingly who it is specifically because you are blindfolded.

At the end of the night, Rona acquired a total of 7 points, Robi with 4 points.
Who is the next out, that depends solely to text votes and the results will be up this coming Saturday night. Here are the photos of the remaining teens in the house of Kuya.

The Rocker outlasted the Ballader

The battle between David vs David for the American Idol 2008 title finally concluded. And it was the Rocker that touch the hearts of America. From the 97.5 million total votes Cook garnered 56%.

The two Davids should be ecstatic because this season earned more votes compared to the previous record of only 23 million.

I am personally confused who will win because they are both talented in their chosen genre.
The 17 year old crooning swooner Archuleta had impressed all three judges and Simon Cowell believed it was a knock-out. It was different though for the 25 year old past bartender rocker. Simon thought Cook's choice of the music is "completely and utterly the wrong choice" for him.

Cook smashed the show with his performances of I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For, Dream Big, The World I Know. Archuleta swooned everybody with his Don’t Let the Sun Go Down on Me, In this Moment, and the magnificent Imagine.

The competition was a close fight and it went really great. They both deserved the title but only one can emerge victorious and that is DAVID COOK. Well I'm pretty sure we will be seeing more of them. Season 7 was truly an outstanding and successful season.

Pop versus RnB

Remember the years when boy bands were such a hit and successful. How can we ever forget of Backstreet Boys, Westlife, Boyzone, Blue, Nsync and a lot more. I love those years. Well, plenty of boys out there hate that time, I know a few of them. At the topic of boy bands, they could even throw up.

One of my favorites is Westlife. They have great voices and faces and ohhh just give them magical dancing shoes because they horrible cannot dance.

Since RnB is the genre of this decade, many boy bands have disbanded to pursue solo career. I'm just glad Westlife have remained in spite of Brian McFadden leaving the group.

I'm not boy band fanatic, well maybe a little. I love RnB as well. Music nowadays makes me wanna party and dance endlessly. Take note, I'm not a party girl. I only been in a club once. And I'm 21 yrs old, makes me feel I'm missed so much in my teenage life.

So whether Pop or RnB music is in tune, I will always love good music and sensible lyrics.

Networking Models

A friend of mine who worked recently in an IT-based company was assigned to a task related to networking. He was enumerating all these stuffs they were working on. Apparently, I did not understand a thing or two. All I can remember of what he narrated to me is this, everything in networking, no matter how complex, always falls to the core of networking, the OSI Model and TCP/ IP Model.

As of this date, I am taking Data Communications and Networking subject. And because of this subject, everything my friend has talked about are starting to make sense. Now what are these OSI and TCP/IP Models? Models are framework that is used to understand how information travels throughout a network. It explains how packets travel through the various layers to another device on a network. In layman’s term, these models could be compared to the process of sending a package from one country to another through courier services. These models are composed of layers which are all essential in establishing a network.

The two models have difference, right? But each layer in TCP/IP model has a corresponding one or more layer in OSI. Now each layer has a set of standards. Designer of devices need to follow protocols imposed by layers. Protocols by definition are formal description of a set of rules and conventions that govern a particular aspect of how devices on a network communicate. Protocols determine the format, timing, sequencing, and error control in data communication. Without protocols, the computer cannot make or rebuild the stream of incoming bits from another computer into the original format.

Ashley Simpson has tied the knot

Looks like Ashley has found the love of her life. At the age of 23, Ashley Simpson tied the knot with Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz, major to Ashley of 5 years.

According to People magazine, the couple exchange vows in Joe Simpson's residence in Los Angeles - Ashley's father and also lead the ceremony.

There are some rumors that Ashley is pregnant. Hey is that already confirmed?

Of course, her older sister, Jessica was the maid of honor. The theme of the ceremony is said to be "Alice in the Wonderland". Well that's something unique. I hope Ashley didn't wear Alice's costume. That would seem odd.

Civil Service Exam (CSE-PPT) Results

As of this date, the results of the Civil Service Exam (CSE-PPT) Results March 9, 2008 has not been released. I'll post the result here in my blog as soon as it comes out.

I'm quite eager to see the results as well because my boyfriend has taken the exam.

The white beach

My classmates, boyfriend and I went this summer twice to this beautiful beach in Samal Islands. There are plenty of great beaches and nice activities in the island. But since we were in a tight budget, we went to the less expensive resort.

You won't believe the experience I had the second time we went there. The weather was great when we got there, white sand, really relaxing place. We just assembled our small tent when all of the sudden, this very dark cloud emerge and replace the bright sun. See the picture below.

I'm on the verge of crying while me and my boyfriend were struggling so hard to keep our tent from being blown away by the strong, ferocious wind. One of the bars that supports the tent even broke. Water is slowly penetrating the inside of our shelter. So after some time, we were able to take shelter to a nearby cottage since our tent has fallen apart.

I was really mad at my boo, blaming him for everything. Then I thought that all his efforts are to make me happy and he does not deserve to be nag. So when he asked me if I'm okay in spite of getting wet, I just said that it's not his fault if the weather spoiled our fun.

Overall, it was fun. Whatever happens, if you intend to enjoy but things didn't go as plan, well the least one could do is enjoy the circumstances as if it were a blessing. I hate getting wet at that point because I haven't change my clothes yet - but then getting soaked in the rain is something I enjoyed when I was young. Maybe God wanted to remind me the good old days. And Samal Island is still one terrific summer spot.

Pain of Juan dela Cruz

Philippines has endured a nasty economy for quite some time now. The people have suffered so long that even middle class is sliding to the poor section. What is happening? Why cannot the country surpass this terrible crisis?

Even text jokes about the most sought after NFA rice emerged. Here goes the joke:

"I may be a star now. Famous, hard to get, delicious, but the truth is, I am simple and sometimes it hurts me to see people struggling to get a little of me." by NFA Rice

How excruciating it is to see that life in this beautiful and resource-rich country is not getting better at all. Most Filipinos resort to seeking jobs abroad which is a sad thing again because children are left with overseas mother, father or even both.

Have we lost the brains to uplift the Filipino life? What does our government officials really doing aside from bagging government funds? Are we just satisfied with the rich getting more rich and the poor becoming poorer than the rat?
